Accounting/Payroll Administrator - North Port, Florida (Hybrid) Full-time, Non-exempt position Summary: EarthBalance® is a company of employees who have a passion for restoring the natural environment. We are looking for an Accounting/Payroll administrator to perform a variety of accounting and payroll duties for the company, including bank reconciliations, bookkeeping, inventory, and sales tax. If you are self-motivated, organized, and positive - then we'd love to hear from you! Duties: Manage company assets and financial expenses. Update accounting databases and report financial discrepancies to the controller. Prepare financial documents such as tax filings and monthly profit & loss statements. Perform weekly payroll processing. Prepare and distribute payroll checks and/or direct deposit remittances. Prepare and, under the direction of the controller, file the quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and other related filings. Calculate and record the SCA and/or Davis-Bacon wages on a project-by-project basis, as well as prepare and distribute certified payroll forms. Assist the controller with end-of-month accounting entries and other accounting-related items as needed. Role Requirements: Understanding the basic principles of accounting is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) is required. Knowledge of QuickBooks and Adobe Acrobat is preferred. Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting and payroll, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred but not required. Knowledge of inventory, purchase orders, receiving, and billing is required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
