As an Accounting Officer, you will be responsible to ensure the accurate and timely allocation of all weekly, monthly, and quarterly trailer and commission payouts to Advisors within the Scotia Mc Leod, Intl Investment Advisory, and i Trade business lines. You will provide support and back up for other desks in the mutual funds operations department to ensure proper coverage of absences and higher volumes. Is this role right for you? In this role you will: Process all trailer and commission payouts to advisors Prepare and reconcile all commission entries vs. the commission statements and cheques/wires received from various fund companies Conduct daily and monthly reconciliation/reporting of the commission control accounts Research and resolve commission related inquiries and issues Process Segregated Funds Estates including documentation to fund company and beneficiary payouts Set up new fund manager codes for auto processing Process Rep code inquiries and charges Ensure daily completion of settlement tasks is maintained in accordance with departmental and regulatory policies and procedures Process daily wire requests and reconcile mutual fund settlement transactions Reconcile all departmental internal control accounts and identify outstanding balances Research, respond, and adjust incoming queries/problems from the reps/branches Process manual wires and follow up as needed Ensure service levels meet customer needs Complete sundry duties as assigned The Must Haves: A University Degree or College Diploma or equivalent Experience in an administrative or customer service position Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word) Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have: Demonstrated time management and accuracy skills to complete tasks within strict deadlines.
