Accounting Manager

Description:
Richardson Industries, Inc., a manufacturing Company with 2 divisions in Sheboygan County, is currently seeking a fulltime Accounting Manager. This position will manage the accounting function of the company to insure timely and accurate reporting of financial transaction. This role reports to the CFO and plays a key role in annual budgeting, standard cost development, and strategic initiatives.Responsibilities include: Oversee general accounting. Ensure accurate and timely processing of month-end journal entries Develop, update and post monthly recurring journal entries. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results. Prepare G/L account reconciliations and reconcile sub-ledgers (A/P, A/R, Inventory, Cash and Fixed Assets) to the GL Prepare monthly management reporting for various reporting groups. Assist in annual audit and tax of the subsidiaries including interfacing with local accounting firm. Identify financial accounting opportunities and alternatives to meet company objectives and improve efficiency. Assist in ensuring proper internal controls. Preparation of annual budgets for each division, including understand payroll expense, spending items, manufacturing variance and spending accounts and how to change/improve the impact for next year's plan. Assist in preparation of yearly standard cost by compiling budget and operational data for development of overhead rates and cost adders. Perform all month end duties timely and accurately in order to ensure accurate financial and management reporting. Assist in coordinating information compiled and/or analyzed by others in order to hit critical deadlines. Assist in other projects or duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least 5 years accounting/financial experience within a manufacturing company. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional and efficient manner. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Quickbooks and/or Biztrack a plus. Competitive Pay & Benefits: Paid vacation.
