Responsibilities for the Accounting Clerk: Provide administrative support to the Finance Department, assisting with various accounting tasks. Handle bank deposits and manage post office runs efficiently. Perform essential bookkeeping duties including Accounts Payable (AP) entry, Accounts Receivable (AR) follow-ups, reconciliation of statements, preparation of journal entries, and processing of credit memos. Demonstrate proficiency in accounts payable procedures and accounting principles. Thoroughly review purchase orders before entry into the AP system to ensure accuracy. Facilitate effective communication between departments to ensure smooth workflow. Display adaptability by undergoing cross-training within the Finance Department. Adhere to established processes and procedures to maintain consistency and accuracy in financial operations. Requirements for the Accounting Clerk: Demonstrated passion for business and finance. Strong ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Exceptional focus on achieving goals and meeting deadlines. Proficient problem-solving skills to address challenges efficiently. Commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Solid computer skills, including proficiency in relevant software applications. Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software. Strong math skills for accurate calculations and analysis.
