Accounting Clerk/Receptionist

The Accounting Clerk/ Receptionist provides a variety of administrative and clerical work for the Accounting Department, assisting with overall accounting functions as well as some receptionist responsibilities. The individual will be required to communicate well, demonstrate a commitment to discipline and responsibility and be able to work under the pressure of deadlines. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Answering the main phone line, screening calls and forwarding them on to the correct department Sorting & delivering mail daily; Assists in management of accounts payable process including invoice posting, payment creation, reconciliations; Review all invoices for proper documentation/approval and coding; Process credit cards for pre-authorization and/or payment; Reconcile vendor statements to ensure that all the receipts are processed correctly; Assists in monthly closings; Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounting Department. Providing assistance to other departments as needed Minimum Qualifications A. EducationHigh School diplomaB. Experience· Strong computer skills including MS Word and Excel with the ability to quickly master new programs.· Ability to maintain high quality of data entry with minimal input errors· Experience completing routine 3-way match for supplier invoicing, resolving differences, and following up on supplier payment issues. Preferred Qualifications A. Education or ExperienceHigh School Diploma1-5 years' experience in related fieldB. Interpersonal SkillsAbility to write in a clear and concise manner.C. Other Skills· Ability to effectively plan and organize.· Experience completing routine 3-way match for supplier invoicing, resolving differences, and following up on supplier payment issues.
