ACCOUNTANT SALARY RANGE : $20.00 $26.00 per hour (based on experience amp; productivity) Benefits include Health, Pension. WORK HOURS : 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday (with extended days/hours during tax season) POSITION DESCRIPTION : The Accountant is a key part of the production staff of Plus Minus Inc providing high level assistance to the Owner in all areas of accounting MONTHLY ACCOUNTING Compile financial statements for monthly customers Assist with financial analysis TAX PREPARATION Heavy emphasis on preparation of Individual, Sole Proprietor, Corporate and Partnership tax returns TAX amp; BUSINESS CONSULTATION Must be able to analyze financial statements, make suggestions to help improve customer profitability. Able to have knowledge, skills and ability to help customers reduce liabilities. NECESSARY SKILLS/CHARACTER High level of honesty, integrity, willingness to uphold corporate values Customer service oriented Ability to work both independently and make contributions as a team member Motivated by production incentives, seeking advancement by generating more income for the firm Must work well under pressure, maintaining a high level of productivity Ability to learn new tasks quickly Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and complete work assignments in a timely and efficient manner Maintains effective and friendly working relationships with fellow employees and the public Must be able to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively, both orally and in writing REQUIREMENTS CPA, or qualified to sit for the exam, or necessary tax licenses (i.e. LTP, LTC or EA) Minimum 1 year experience in tax preparation (in Oregon) Minimum 1 year public contact experience that included both in-person and telephone contacts Computer Experience : Extensive experience in Microsoft Windows environments, including Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential. Experience with Accounting, Ultra Tax, QuickBooks Online (Pro certification preferred) Must pass an online pre-employment vocational assessment
