Account Executive - Northern California Pace Analytical is one of the most diversified commercial analytical laboratory networks in the nation, offering a wide range of environmental services through its three divisions: Environmental Sciences, Life Sciences, and Scientific Professional Services. The Account Executive will be responsible for expanding our market share, promoting and selling Pace Analytical services within an assigned territory, leveraging relationships, and ensuring customer retention.A background in sales and/or technical knowledge of the environmental consulting industry or environmental laboratory experience is a plus, and a verifiable record of successful sales experience and a proven track record of increasing market share is a plus. We are seeking an individual who is motivated to exceed monthly and annual sales targets based on individual performance goals. All Pace employees are passionate about their work, and we are looking for someone who has a passion for selling and developing/maintaining customer relationships. We believe that we have the BEST sales team in the industry, so we aren't looking for good - we are looking for GREAT! This position will report to our Regional Director-Sales, who will do everything in his power to help you succeed. Our philosophy is this: we want our Sales staff to be the highest compensated people in the company because it means that you are growing right along with Pace. This is a full-time remote and exempt position supporting the Northern California territory, Monday through Friday. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in business, chemistry, operations, or a closely related field; AND two (2) years of customer support experience, including experience with complex programs or operations; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation. Valid Driver's License Required KnowledgeIntermediate to complex methods to resolve sales and customer problems, questions, and concerns. Various understanding of applicable sales laws, codes, and regulations. Understanding of various testing tools, equipment, and processing. Computer applications and systems related to the work. Ability to be an effective project team member. Methods to communicate with staff, coworkers, and customers to ensure effective and appropriate operations. Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Preferred Skills: Performing intermediate to complex professional-level sales duties in a variety of assigned areas. Overseeing and administering various sales functions. Operating in both a team and individual contributor environment. Using initiative and independent judgment within established department guidelines. Using tact, discretion and prudence in working with those contacted in the course of the work. Performing effective oral presentations to large and small groups across functional peers and the department. Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives, and activities. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of individuals contacted in the course of the work.
