Description:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC or CPC-A) to provide expert review and analysis of a wide range of patient records and charge slips to ensure the accuracy of coding, billing compliance in accordance with CPT and ICD10 guidelines, medical and legal standards as well a guarantee maximum reimbursement.Job duties include but are not limited to: Review of medical records and charge slips initiated by the healthcare provider Verification and coding of the diagnosis, E&M, procedures or other codes required for the completeness and accuracy of the record Performs edit checks on data entered prior and following to transmittal and corrects errors as indicated Maintains timely entry and submission of claims in accordance with company policy Acts as a resource with expert knowledge to others Other duties as assigned Education: CPC or CPC-A requiredKnowledge: Knowledge of full Revenue Cycle Knowledge of local and national insurance plans Medical terminology, basic anatomy, and physiology HIPPA trained Abilities: Ability to manage time and workload efficiently Ability to remain professional, courteous, respectful, and remain calm under stress Ability to adapt to change rapidly Ability to communicate effectively in a clear concise manner Ability to think outside the box Ability to present problems along with a solution Environment/Work Atmosphere: All work is performed onsite (remote work is not available) Fast pace and busy A growing company that supports and encourages employees to pursue their passions Family oriented company Comfortable work/life balance with set hours Casual dress (jean-friendly)
