Description:
Essential Duties Change out residential air handlers and condensing units Start-up and trouble shoot ac systems Proper system charging including Nitrogen pressure test and use of Micron gauge on vacuum Basic electrical to disconnect and reconnect equipment Basic knowledge of code standards Maintenance of AC systems Able to work outside on roofs Willing to be on call in rotation-We rarely have emergency service Work on commercial installations including duct work as needed Attend and participate in safety meetings; wear the proper personal protective equipment Report to work on times set by supervisors Perform the duties above efficiently and effectively and in a workmanlike manner Physical Demands Be able to stand and walk for long periods of time Be able to work in confined/enclosed spaces for long periods of time Be able to climb ladders and stairs frequently throughout the day Be able to work from heights greater than 6 feet high for long periods of time and throughout the day Be able to kneel, crouch, stoop, twist, reach, push, pull, and grasp frequently throughout the day Be able to work more than 40 hours per week when required Strength to lift and maneuver materials and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds Vision to read printed materials Hearing and speech to communicate in person or over a radio or telephone Be able to lift overhead at least 75 lbs Possess the strength and mobility to work in a typical construction site setting Stamina to perform sustained physical labor Skills and Ability Good listening skills and ability to follow oral instructions Ability to get along with others Ability to effectively communicate with foreman and supervisor Experience Prior roofing experience required Prior roofing service experience is preferred Education Requirements High school diploma preferred Driver's license or the ability to obtain a driver's license required Basic construction and safety knowledge Be able to work outside in all weather Other duties as assigned by supervisor
