Job Summary Our Lady of Lourdes in University City is seeking a Fifth Grade Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Our Lady of Lourdes is a growing Catholic school serving over 300 students in preschool-8th grade. Be a part of a collaborative team of educators that includes learning consultants, specialists, and partner teachers all working together in a dynamic Catholic environment to promote student learning and success. Ability to differentiate instruction for a wide variety of learners, work collaboratively with partner teachers, and educational certification are required. Job Responsibilities Provides grade appropriate instructional program including: Lesson plan Classroom preparation Assessment of each student's performance. Provides grade appropriate extended or enrichment opportunities. Supervises students. Participates in faculty meeting, school committees, and in-services. Attends other school functions and activities as is necessary. Job Requirements Must have basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic School philosophy, goals, and objectives. Must have necessary background and training in elementary/secondary education methods and subject areas. Must have understanding of child development and skills necessary to relate to the students being taught. Must have appropriate control and discipline techniques, which will enhance the learning environment. Must work cooperatively with the parish staff. Must have the following education, training, and experience. BA or BS in elementary education.
