Deere & Company is seeking a Software Engineer in Chicago, IL with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field plus 4 years related experience. Required skills: Experience in the design, development, testing and integration of software solutions in Java web development with Spring and Restful APIs (4 yrs); Understanding of application development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints (4 yrs); Experience with DevOps principles and lean development such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery including GitHub, Maven, JFrog, DockerHub, GitHub Actions and Junit (2 yrs); Experience with XP Principles for automation, Paired Programming, and TDD (1 yr); Experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment (1 yr); Understanding of full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures (4 yrs); Experience working with Test Driven Development and Unit Test Frameworks (2 yrs); Experience working with REST API for system integration (4 yrs); Experience with Procuring, Developing and Supporting Infrastructure using Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure) (2 yrs). Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. 50% remote work allowed. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.
