ROLE DURATION: ASAP - June 21, 2024 ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Design Lead, the Seasonal Mid-level Designer will assist in design and production that comes out of the creative team. They will provide critical support to the Content Marketing Team for Tribeca’s print and digital presence while contributing to the conception and execution of design assets in every form for the 2024 Tribeca Festival and Tribeca social platforms. They will work closely with the Design Lead on planning. Note: This position is remote, and you are expected to be available during Tribeca’s office hours of 9:30a-6:30p Eastern time. There is a possibility of needing to work after hours or weekends over the span of the Festival (June 5-16). Flexible start date, ideally by Monday, April 29. ABOUT YOU You will be self-driven, creative, organized and collaborative. You must be able to juggle multiple projects at once while tracking timeline and deadlines. You will be able to operate at a rapid pace and maintain composure in times of stress, ambiguity, and change. You will be calm under pressure and be open to pumping out revisions quickly. You will be able to work independently and quickly with unflagging attention to detail amid high volume workloads. RESPONSIBILITIES Create digital, social, and print collateral graphic design solutions based on initial conceptual and visual direction for Tribeca Festival; no task too big or too small; from developing creative with the Design Lead to building out files for print production. Work closely with the Design Lead to support, plan, design and concept assets. Design and create custom assets for our partners' initiatives during Festival and beyond including, but not limited to, invites, screen cards and social imagery Work on various design projects related to the Festival, including: Flags, flyers, invites, and posters; Social media assets; Screen Cards; and Preparing graphics to hand off for videos and motion graphics Prepare all files to finished production standards for submission to vendors including print, digital, and environmental/outdoor. REQUIREMENTS 3+ years of design experience, preferably within an agency or creative environment. Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite Motion graphics, animation and/or video editing skills are a huge plus BA in design or related field preferred or equivalent work experience. A portfolio showcasing a clean design aesthetic, top-notch typography, and including conceptual as well as production work. Ability to translate topline creative requests into high-quality content. Ability to work independently; taking the initiative to jump on new assignments, going to directly to the requesting party to ask clarifying questions. Ability to take and manage direction from various departments and the Design Lead. Ability to work closely with internal teams, applying creative solutions to business problems. Dedicated to exceeding expectations and requirements of internal and external partners; acts with strategic goals in mind. Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to communicate effectively with use of typography, photography, graphics, and animation.
