Description:
Duties: This position encompasses responsibility for programming CNC Trumpf Machines (Punch and Laser) and the Whitney Machine. The position will optimize part layout to maximize material usage and will support Machine Operators as needed. As a Laser Programmer an individual must be able to perform all of the following: Responsibilities: Programming of Laser to meet expectations of quality, production metrics and material utilization. Perform all other duties and assignments as required including those when reassigned or transferred and regardless of whether duties are related to his/her normal duties. Optimize part layout to maximize material usage. Mentor the CNC Operators and CNC Trainees. Make suggestions for improving CNC Programming. Qualifications: A high school diploma, trade school degree or equivalent work experience Ability to use calipers, micrometer, tape measure and other measuring devices Moderate computer skills including programming software, CAD programs and Microsoft Excel Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time wisely Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail is a must Minimum of 3-5 experience in related position is desired Working knowledge of punch presses and fabrication equipment Operation of Trumpf presses preferred TruTopps and Digital Resource software experience a plus Job Posted by ApplicantPro
