Job Description: As a Treatment Coordinator Team Leader in our dental office, you will be responsible for creating meeting agendas, leading meetings, and coordinating with other department leaders. You will assign to-dos to team members as discussed in the meetings and hold people accountable for the projects assigned. The Team Leader will work alongside the Operations Leader to set goals and will put measures in place to ensure the team meets the metrics. Additionally, you will be available to review and approve ideas that may be developed by the rest of the team to ensure that the procedures and practices are consistent across the board. The leader will be the primary manager of the department budget and communicate proposals quarterly. This position reports to the Director of Business Operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management. Team Leader Tasks Recommend revisions to team procedures and practices to incorporate best practices and address changes in the legal landscape and cultural environment. Disseminate, implement, and enforce organization and team standards, policies, and procedures, including providing proper guidance to those carrying out related duties. Assist with developing and executing plans and strategies to meet team goals and objectives Team Leader Function: Lead and oversee the Treatment Coordinator Team Directly manage all team members, including training, assigning and directing work, evaluating performance, disciplining as necessary, and addressing employee concerns. Provide team members with regular feedback on performance, including frequent informal feedback, annual performance reviews, assisting with professional development, and making recommendations for promotions or special assignments. Participate in the recruitment of new employees, including interviewing and making hiring recommendations/decisions and compensation recommendations. In addition to the tasks of Treatment Coordinator Team Leader Skills Ability to organize and prioritize own work and the work of others. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Additional education or certification in dental assisting or dental office administration is a must At least three years of experience managing people and at least three years of experience in a dental office Skills & Capabilities: Proven experience in a dental or healthcare setting, preferably as a treatment coordinator or similar role. Strong knowledge of dental procedures, treatments, and terminology. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with diverse patient populations, staff, and contacts in a professional and compassionate manner. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and schedules efficiently. Proficient in dental practice management software and computer applications. Familiarity with dental insurance processes, billing, and coding. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor while working in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality. Capabilities Majority of work is completed in a general office environment with exposure to moderate levels of noise in a well-lit, well-ventilated and fast paced environment; continuously required to read computer screens.
