Fort Bend Independent School District is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: CTE Agriculture Food and Natural Resources Teacher School Year: 2024-2025 Job Overview: The Teacher CTE Agriculture Food and Natural Resources will plan and implement an instructional program and provide related educational services for students in assigned grade levels. The incumbent will manage student behavior, assess and evaluate student achievement, and modify/control instructional activities as required. Instructional delivery will provide students with real-world experiences relevant to the industry today. Any teacher who will coach a UIL sport will also provide athletic services related to that athletic sport and the athletic program. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the above essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities, required unless otherwise stated as preferred. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Bachelor's degree in appropriate field including course work in the subject or program to which assigned upon hire Master's degree preferred Experience may be substituted as outlined by the Texas Education Agency or FBISD District of Innovation Valid Appropriate CTE Teaching Certification, issued by Texas Education Agency upon hire Valid Driver's license with CDL Certification preferred if coaching a UIL sport Required Compliance Training Coaching experience is preferred if coaching a UIL sport Demonstrated knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment of instructional specialty Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate technology equipment and software programs Proven ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives including the needs and abilities of students Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, and parents Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
