Cumulus Media | Little Rock is looking for a conservative Talk Show Host to work in a medium market in the South. You will be part of a dynamic team and be required to deliver a 4- hour show, Monday through Friday, that not only entertains the audience but has synergy with the market and benefits our advertisers. The NewsTalk format is ever changing and isn't your grandfathers NewsTalk station style of programming anymore. You will need to be engaging with the audience, cutting edge in your delivery, accurate with your information, and honest. The host for this job will have a good understanding of social media and how to interact on those platforms as well as over the air. Who We Are: CUMULUS | Little Rock, AR currently features 8 stations in the Little Rock market: KIPR 92.3 "Power 92 Jams", KLAL 107.7 "Alice 107.7", KURB 98.5 "B98.5", KARN-FM 102.9 "News Radio 102.9", KOKY 102.1 "The Legendary KOKY", KPZK 102.5 "Praise", KARN-AM 920 "The Sports Animal" and KAAY-AM 1090 "The Mighty 1090". Little Rock is a great place to live! Throw in a great mix of cultural attractions, a vibrant culinary scene and lots of live entertainment, and Little Rock translates to the ideal hub for families and young professionals. Key Responsibilities: * Successful talk show hosting experience and winning track record backed by Nielsen Audio results. * Able to conduct a 4 hour talk show 5 days per week. * Willing to meet and learn who the key players are in the political and business landscape of the market very quickly * Savvy computer skills * Must make station appearances at events/remotes and represent stations * Be organized and able to create systems to accomplish an excellent on-air sound, limiting audio mistakes * Ability to multi-task and the discipline to focus on what is the highest and best use of your time * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with air staff and associated departments * Strong leadership, coaching, prioritization, and execution * Creative and strategic problem solver * Proficient in digital audio editing and production using various software packages * Work with station promotions director to maximize digital assets including websites, social media presence * Previous Talk Show Host experience is required * Produce a compelling radio show by using creativity, imagination and exercise of independent professional judgment in writing, producing, interviewing, taping or broadcasting on-air content * Great with phones/interacting with callers, interviewing artists/guests and hosting live events * Connect with listeners via phones, social, video, web and on-site * Daily social media engagement; website and digital content generation * Participate in station Programming, Promotions, and Sales meetings and events as necessary * Commercial Production; create killer endorsement ads - both on air and online - for mutually agreed upon products * Handles emergency news/weather in show; on call for weather disasters/breaking news * Ensures logged commercials, promotions, sweepers and any other programming element essential to the station's operations are aired * Performs additional duties in small stations, such as production, assisting program directors or music directors, operating radio transmitter or writing advertising copy.
