Job Description: Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. As a Home Health PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide hands-on physical therapy treatments and exercise programs to homebound patients.Responsibilities:1. Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess their physical abilities, limitations, and functional goals.2. Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising Physical Therapist, based on the patient's condition, medical history, and therapeutic goals.3. Assist in the implementation of therapeutic exercises, stretches, and techniques to improve strength, range of motion, balance, and mobility.4. Provide education to patients and their caregivers on proper body mechanics, injury prevention, and home exercise programs.5. Monitor and document patient progress, as well as any changes in their condition or treatment plan.6. Communicate effectively with the Physical Therapist, physicians, and other healthcare professionals involved in the patient's care.7. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices for home health physical therapy.8. Adhere to ethical and professional standards as outlined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and state licensing board.9. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse populations, adapting treatment plans to meet individual patients' needs.10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment notes, progress reports, and billing information.Requirements:1. Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.2. Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.3. Proven experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a home health or similar setting.4. Excellent knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and modalities.5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and their families.6. Ability to work independently, managing a caseload and adapting treatment plans to varying patient needs.7. Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation.8. Current CPR/BLS certification.9. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to travel to patients' homes.10.
