Description:
Pastoral Acts in the absence of the Lead Pastor, receiving ministerial phone calls, leading staff meetings, overseeing worship services, and other ministerial duties of the Lead Pastor Assists the Lead Pastor in visiting (house, hospital), conducting follow-ups (phone call, texting, emailing, etc.), and building relationships with church members, regular attendees and guests. Assists the Lead Pastor in church related (weddings, funerals, baptisms, house blessings, child dedications) and administrative activities (membership class, ministry team meetings). Preaching and Teaching Assists in Sunday Worship services and preaching in accordance with the schedule. Assists the Lead Pastor in providing spiritual and moral guidance to all church member groups and regular attendees particularly the age group that the Lead Pastor assigns him to. Works in tandem with the Lead Pastor to organize and direct Youth Ministry programs and initiatives through duties including but not limited to strategizing to attain church goals, developing Youth Ministry staff (e.g., recruiting and training, delegating), and coordinating across members and ministry teams. Leads Youth Ministry by routinely executing programs and initiatives through duties including but not limited to teaching, communicating to families, supervising, and scheduling. Administration Supports the Lead Pastor and the QBC Council (Ministry Teams) in the accomplishment of the church’s mission through ministry effectiveness evaluation, discernment, decision making, planning and overall direction of congregation. Works in tandem with the Lead Pastor in the annual strategic planning process including evaluation of ministry performance, review of mission, vision and core values; development of key objectives and tactics and establishment of goals. Assists the Lead Pastor in coordinating church initiatives with elders, deacons, and ministry team leaders. Assists the Lead Pastor in continually improving and streamlining processes and ministries. Ensures the operational readiness of the church through oversight of the support staff performing duties in administration, finance, human resources, supply, and facilities management. Outreach Assists the Lead Pastor in the oversight of local outreach and evangelism. Engage in wider community (e.g., school events, community meetings) and mobilize church involvement. Qualifications Degree from an accredited seminary preferred Passion for and experience with working with Youth ministry Must be a dependable team player and self-starter Ability to effectively navigate interpersonal relationships
