Your Job As a Business Development Manager with a heavy sales focus, specializing in subprime paper roll stock , you will join our team at Georgia Pacific Recycling to maintain and expand our presence in the international paper industry. Your primary responsibilities will include business development, driving sales through pricing strategies, negotiating contracts , and fostering relationships with global partners. Additionally, you will stay updated on glo bal market trends, logistics , and supply chain dynamics, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making. This fast-paced, dynamic position demands strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to excel. What You Will Do * Manage the global marketing and selling of GP's rollstock inventory and be accountable to certain inventory and profitability metrics . * Act as a principled entrepreneur, identify new business opportunities by analyzing new markets, products, and customers and develop a business plan to pursue profitable ventures. * Cultivate strong relationships with Georgia Pacific's international sales teams, foreign sales representatives, and distribution partners to enhance customers' experiences across enterprise businesses. * Communicate effectively with partners and clients across various platforms (e.g. Tea ms, WhatsApp, LinkedIn) , demonstrating high responsiveness, respectfulness, cross-cultural awareness , and strong interpersonal skills. * Promote Georgia Pacific with customers by active cold calling , m anaging presence on e-commerce platforms and social networks, attending trade conferences, and engaging in general business relationship development activities with customers. * Utilize financial skills and sound economic thinking to assess profitability, conduct cost-benefit analyses, manage trading risks , and negotiate price ; gain alignment with key stakeholders when exercising significant risk-adjusted trades . * Expertly manage complex contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and relationship management. * Continuously acquire information about global paper products, customers, and producers, and contribute to an institutional knowledge network. * Frequently c ontribute to a cross-functional sales & operations planning process and market point-of-view process. * Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, accounting, and logistics, to ensure on-time i n-full order execution and exceptional customer experience. * Ensure compliance with environmental, customs, and international trade regulations ; challenge the status quo and drive impr ovement where there are gaps . * Utilize data analytics for demand forecasting, trend analysis, and decision-making. * Demonstrate a commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability. * Monitor global sustainability trends and customer adoption to inform sales and marketing strategy. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Relevant experience in procurement, sales/account management, supply chain, or trading. * Relationship management skills, enabling you to build relationships with domestic and international stakeholders. * Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and drive results. * Flexible to travel up to 50% of the time, including international & domestic travel, based on business needs. What Will Put You Ahead * Experience in a selling, sourcing , or brokering paper p roducts or similar commodities, including knowledge of paper specifications, pricing mechanisms and global market dynamics. * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related discipline. For this role, we anticipate paying $100,000 to $130,000 per year . This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
