Join Our Team as a Payroll Specialist! Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for the company's employees. This role involves managing all aspects of payroll administration, including compliance with federal and state regulations, maintaining payroll records, and providing exceptional service to employees regarding payroll inquiries. As a Payroll Specialist, you will: Prepare and process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payrolls for all employees. Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions. Process new hires, terminations, and employee changes in the payroll system. Stay updated with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Prepare and file necessary payroll tax reports and payments. Maintain and update employee payroll records and information. Manage payroll-related documentation, including timesheets, direct deposit forms, and tax forms. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and deductions. Generate and distribute payroll reports for management review. Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to payroll expenses. Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Work with IT or external vendors to resolve system issues and implement upgrades. Stay updated with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus. Experience with payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, SAP) is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Strong organizational and time management skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
