Description:
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS The primary functions include providing manufacturing support straightening operations. Ensure product conformity to appropriate specifications and prints. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the Major Responsibilities, including the following: Receive, analyze casting conformity to technique card and or blueprint requirements. Mechanically straighten castings utilizing appropriate fixturing and gaging. Inspect castings with gaging and or overlay to ensure proper adherence to specifications. Visual inspection of castings. Able to straighten / manually manipulate all configurations of castings to ensure dimensional compliance. Make recommendations for process improvements. Follow all safety regulations and rules applying to department. Other duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED. A minimum of one years' straightening experience required. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Good communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, operating instructions, work instructions, customer supplied procedures, and routers. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technique cards and or technical instructions in running wax molding machines.
