Position: Installation Upfit TechnicianDuration: Direct HireLocation: Lakeville, MNPay Rate: $28/HR - $33/HRON-SITE 5 DaysInstallation Upfit TechnicianFull Time Non-Exempt [Hourly]Manual LaborHopkins, MNRequisition ID: AB6am – 3:30pm - Mon – Fri (OT and Saturdays as needed depends on production) You will support up fitting vocational work trucks.  Diagnostics and Truck Mechanical experience a plus SUMMARY Primary responsibility is to perform upfitting of bodies & equipment including modifications on trucksand truck mounted equipment, in accordance with ABM Equipment standards under the generaldirection of the Frame Shop Manager.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with SOP'sEquipment and factory standards. Fabrication and installation of components related to truck equipment installations. Cleans and properly equips assigned area to perform all necessary work. Fabricates special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices accordingto blueprints or schematic drawings. Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts. Documents work performed. Keeps shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all ABM Equipment tools at all times. Ensures that customers' trucks and equipment are kept clean. Attends factory-sponsored training classes. Must have a working knowledge and understanding of safety requirements and practice them. Must refer to MSDS when using any chemicals, substances and materials, understanding the MSDSinformation, and abiding by MSDS required personal protective equipment.
