This position oversees and manages all activities of the facility, profit and loss statements, team performance, ensuring exceptional customer service by supervising, monitoring and managing operational goals and company objectives. Job Functions: Ensure the day-to-day compliance with the standardized processes in all areas Monitoring the performance and progress of staff Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met Forecast and monitor associate staffing to prescribed operational levels and provide recommendations to effectively address operational and HR related issues or problems Schedule one on one meetings with employees and supervisors to discuss individual growth opportunities Ensure quality inventory control through managing cycle counts Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business or related field preferred Must have at least 10 years of Management Experience in Distribution/Logistics - 3PL Preferred Knowledge of P&L Advanced computer skills Skills Needed: Lean 6 Sigma Skilled at counseling/teaching/training exempt and nonexempt associates Understanding and execution of good safety practices Inventory control management Excellent communication skills; ability to motivate work force Knowledge of conflict resolution and associate problem solving Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization. Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise both exempt and non-exempt associates Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced setting. Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations. Effective problem-solving and mediation skills. Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others. The name comes from a street where the first warehouses were located. After William Hermann took over and provided services, he successfully revitalized during the 1980s. In 1988, Hermann Services acquired Palmer as part of an effort to expand its operations regionally. The Palmer name was used for 9 years until 1997, when the division was renamed Hermann Warehouse Southwest, but it was short-lived after the division was renamed in 2000. The Palmer name was restored at this time with a slight change to our current trade name, Palmer Logistics. Today, Palmer Logistics is a successful regional provider based on the fundamental philosophies that have enabled the Hermann family's success for four generations: reliability, customer service, and uncompromising integrity.
