Come work at the best place to give and receive care!---Job Description: -Registered Nurse - Psychiatric Emergency Program (PEP)Who We Are:Psychiatric Emergency Program (PEP) is a 6-bed emergency behavioral crisis unit located within the ED. Elliot Behavioral Health Services is staffed by a team of mental health professionals who tailor both evaluation and treatment services to each individual patient. There are typically 10 employees on during a shift with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 and 1 LNA on. Our state-of-the-art units provide a wide array of equipment and patient acuity depending on a nurse's professional interests, certifications, and experience level.About the Job:The Registered Nurse on PEP delivers care for patients with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. This includes de-escalation and crisis management under the supervision of providers. Also, creates a therapeutic and caring environment for patient and families. Has the option to cross train on Pathways. What You'll Do: Embraces and promotes change to support optimal patient outcomes and an effective professional practice environment. Involves patient/family in goal setting and planning, and communicates that plan of care to patient and family for input; and to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings. Utilizes current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to guide practice and/or performance and identifies areas for improvement.
