This role involves ensuring the scalability, security, and reliability of cloud services while driving cost efficiency and performance enhancements. The Cloud Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, security, and operations, to align cloud strategies with business goals and regulatory requirements. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects and teams effectively. In addition to technical expertise, the Cloud Manager will play a critical role in developing and implementing cloud governance policies, best practices, and standards. They will be responsible for monitoring cloud usage, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and industry standards such as FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cloud management, a strong background in IT infrastructure, and the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in cloud operations. The ideal candidate for the Cloud Manager position is a highly experienced professional with at least 7 years of experience in cloud management and a strong background in IT infrastructure. They should have a proven track record of overseeing the deployment, management, and optimization of cloud infrastructure, with a deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with FinOps, cost optimization, and effective governance policy implementation is essential. They will ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of ACL’s cloud services, drive cost efficiency, and lead innovations in cloud operations while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Include: Oversee the design, implementation, and management of ACL’s cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Develop and enforce cloud governance policies, best practices, and standards to ensure compliance with federal regulations and industry standards. Manage cloud resources, including provisioning, configuration, and optimization, to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to integrate cloud solutions and support application deployment and management. Monitor cloud performance and usage, providing regular reports on metrics, trends, and areas for improvement. Lead the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud services. Ensure the security and compliance of cloud environments, including managing access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments. Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends, recommending innovations and enhancements to improve cloud operations and services. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for cloud services and solutions, ensuring value and compliance with SLAs. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the cloud operations team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. What you bring to the table: 7 years of experience as Cloud Manager. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in cloud management, with a strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Proficient with FinOps and associated tagging strategies. In-depth knowledge of cloud security, compliance standards (FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP), and best practices. Strong experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation, with a focus on scalability, security, and performance. Demonstrated ability to manage cloud resources, optimize costs, and implement effective governance policies. Experience with cloud management tools, automation, and orchestration technologies. BCT offers a competitive total compensation package that, for this position includes a base annual salary range of $140,000 - $150,000 (based on qualifications), along with a generous benefits package.  BCT’s benefits include heavily subsidized medical, dental and vision coverage, fully vested 401k plan with company match, company paid life and disability insurance plans, a strong work-life balance/time-off structure. This is a remote position, located in any of the fifty United States or Washington, DC.
