Description:
Our client is seeking a motivated tax professional to become a key member of our team. Applicants must be capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Position Responsibilities: Client Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor, demonstrating knowledge of industry trends, identifying client issues, and proactively communicating solutions. Tax Process Management: Plan and review tax procedures, including budgeting, staffing, monitoring engagement processes, and managing billing and accounts receivable. Client Relationships: Manage client expectations and ensure compliance with applicable authorities while minimizing tax burdens. Tax Return Review: Conduct top-level reviews of tax returns, resolve tax issues, and provide timely advice to clients. Research and Analysis: Identify research needs, frame issues for research, and clearly report analyses and recommendations. Client Benefit Maximization: Develop and implement efficient methods to maximize client benefits, focusing on reducing current and future taxes. Technical Expertise: Gain in-depth understanding of technical tax issues, including individual, corporate, property, sales, pass-through, state and local, and international taxation. Training and Development: Organize and conduct internal CPE training sessions, supervise associates, and provide performance feedback. Process Improvement: Introduce and develop ideas to improve client positions and firm practices, and leverage lessons from prior projects. Education and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting degree preferred Master’s degree preferred 8-10 years of experience in corporate tax, pass-through entities, and high-net-worth individual clients Experience in International, Estate, and Gift Tax preferred Prior experience in supervising and training tax professionals Licenses and Certifications: CPA certification or EA required Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) UltraTax or similar programs, QuickBooks, Practice Management Programs Skills and Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills Executive presence and client management capabilities Superior analytical and tax research skills Advanced understanding of tax issues and law Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects Effective team management and delegation skills Strong relationship-building skills Business development and client conversion skills Willingness to engage in marketing and business development activities Positive attitude and interpersonal skills Benefits Package: Medical, Health, and Dental Insurance 401(K) Plan Personal Time Off and Firm Holidays Flexible Hybrid Work Environment Powered by JazzHR
