POSITION SUMMARY This position is primarily responsible for Site Related Civil scopes, working between 3rd party Civil groups and the Owner/Contractor as Liaison; giving advisement, directing civil special scopes, managing change order approvals, coordinating special site scopes (common landscaping, walks, retaining walls, common lighting, railing, utilities, etc.), directing and monitoring all site related activities for regular updates to development team, budget considerations associated with all items mentioned above, managing work for quality, community appearance, etc. Elmington is comprised of multiple locations and lines of business that are operated as their own living, breathing corporation. To be an effective Elmington teammate, you will need to: Have a great attitude Have high expectations Think BEYOND the box Work with passion Have a tireless work ethic Be confident Be self-sufficient and self-motivated Take pride in your work Be a good listener Offer a solution with every problem Go above and beyond for everyone you support KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Great attitude Ethical conduct Willing to think outside of the box Communicate effectively Self-starter and finisher Solution finder Work well with others Receive direction well Detail orientated ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Knowledge of Site work and Vertical work requirements for best management practices Ability to create Civil CAD files, read and understand civil plans, specifications, details, layouts Work as Liaison between Civil Engineering and Surveyors for community As-Builts Conduct feasibility evaluations and provide recommendations to development team Participate in Pre-Development budget exercises, for topo, foundation types, etc. Verify Lot delivery requirements are being achieved by the Site Contractor Tour communities and identify inferior/incomplete work, potential liabilities Monitor & pre-approve variances when required outside of Site contracts Schedule and direct common landscaping, public walks, irrigation, fencing, etc. Manage and coordinate retaining walls, landscape walls, special drains, ponds Conduct precontruction meetings with vendors, and others as required Participate in monthly payment app approval process with EOR, Site Contractor Complete all Master Permit site items, coordinate inspections and approvals, etc. Manage and coordinate all common lighting, sleeving as needed Work with vertical Construction Managers for projected hand over schedules Maintain proper SWPPP during site work, and vertical construction where required SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE: BS in Civil Engineering (BS CE) Minimum 3-5 years experience preferred Familiar with Residential Development Projects PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Frequently sit, stand and walk Regularly required to talk or hear Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud Temperature in the workplace is seasonal, as most work will be outdoors TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Some travel required The Elmington Experience We're creating a different kind of company at Elmington.
