Resolute Performance Iron is a specialty steel contractor seeking a passionate committed individual toserve as a Purchasing Assistant.The majority of our work is in the steel construction industry and solar energy construction. The primary responsibilities of the Purchase Assistant include contacting vendors, comparing price quotes, creating purchase orders, and tracking and organizing consumable inventory while ensuring that inventory remains stocked. Duties & Responsibilities Create and manage purchase orders to maintain inventory levels Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers Research potential suppliers and obtain quotes for goods and services Ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues with vendors Track and organize consumable inventory to prevent outages of stock Qualifications A basic understanding of structural steel fabrication would be helpful 3+ years of work in an administrative setting Superior communication and interpersonal skills Knowledgeable of the steel/concrete industry Computer and data entry experience is required Organized, attentive, and detail oriented Familiarity with software such as: Tekla Power Fab, Vista, Full Bay, and Excel Additional Information This position operates in a fast-paced office setting with opportunities for growth and advancement. We foster a supportive team environment where honesty, integrity, and a commitment to excellence are valued. Schedule is Monday to Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm with occasional Fridays that may be required Office location is in Phoenix, AZ Office and shop environment requiring sitting and standing.
