Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education. Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seeks a knowledgeable and experienced Contracts Specialist. This job reports to the Associate Director, Procurement in the procurement department within the Finance division of PPFA. The procurement department negotiates costs and prepares contracts to ensure that PPFA acquires the goods and services critical to achieving its mission timely and cost effectively. Purpose: The Contracts Specialist manages and negotiates contracts with suppliers and clients and provides contractual support to stakeholders across the organization. They should be familiar with legal terminology, contractual agreements, and have a background in contract administration. The role aims to protect the organization's interests, facilitate smooth contract execution, and support strategic objectives. Delivery: * Review, draft, and negotiate contractual agreements, including but not limited to, non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, and purchase agreements; this may be done independently or for more complex agreements with subject matter experts from the Office of the General Counsel.* Ensure contract compliance with legal requirements and company policies. * Review vendor and subcontractor contracts and provide recommendations to stakeholders. * Manage contract change requests, amendments and extensions * Maintain accurate contract records and documentation * Research regulations to ensure contracts are updated and in compliance with laws Engagement: * Coordinate with the Office of the Chief Financial Officer to ensure financial aspects of contracts are managed effectively * Liaise with the Office of the General Counsel to ensure all contracts comply with legal standards and regulations * Support various divisions across the organization by providing expertise in contract drafting, review, and management to ensure successful delivery and implementation of contract terms. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including department heads, project managers, and legal advisors, to understand and fulfill contractual needs. * Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for continuous improvement of the contracting process.* Serve as the main liaison with external contracting representatives.* Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services.* Engage with suppliers, and clients to negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing that align with organizational objectives. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): * Bachelor's degree in Business preferred.* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in contract administration or a related field.* General knowledge of contract laws and regulations preferred.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills.* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams but also independently tocomplete work, ad assigned.* Attention to detail and accuracy in contract management.* Familiarity with procurement processes and project management methodologies.* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Coupa spend management system or othersimilar Procure-To-Pay system.* Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.* Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, particularly surrounding race equity.* A deep commitment to Planned Parenthood's mission of promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health Travel: as neededTotal offer package to include generous vacation + sick leave + paid holidays, individual/family provided medical, dental and vision benefits effective day 1, life insurance, short/long term disability, paid family leave and 401k.
