Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Location: Alhambra Post Acute, Martinez, CA Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Key Responsibilities: * Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing treatment plans for residents. * Conduct therapy sessions to improve patients' physical, mental, and social well-being. * Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatments as needed. * Educate patients and their families on the use of adaptive equipment and techniques to improve daily living. * Maintain accurate records of treatment and progress, ensuring compliance with facility and regulatory standards. * Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to residents. Qualifications: * Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification. * Valid state licensure as a COTA in California. * Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
