FRAUD SPECIALIST Position Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Position Location: Green River Branch Role Responsible for the investigation, mitigation, and assisting with the recovery of fraudulent, illegal or improper activities with additional responsibilities to include processing disputes, operational research, and troubleshooting services. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Assists in monitoring fraudulent activity and inactivity involving credit cards, debit cards, electronic banking, and all other member related platforms in order to ensure minimal loss to the organization and members. Assists with product and service research, training and communication to staff, including troubleshooting these services. Assists with detecting trends using available data and technology in order to establish appropriate action to create effective and minimal member impact controls. Maintains card parameters, limits, blocks and fraud prevention tools. Conducts investigations for disputes and verifies the appropriate documents are accurate and compliant. Ensures appropriate records maintained in order to coordinate recovery of losses for bond claims. Prepares various reports for management to update status of current losses, analyzes and reports loss and recovery by fraud types, fraud trends and effectiveness of current programs. Provides coverage for BSA/Fraud Manager when needed. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Performance Measurements To adhere to all Trona Valley policies and procedures and all relevant federal regulations including BSA and Reg E. Conduct timely investigations of fraudulent activity to ensure minimal loss/inconvenience to the credit union and/or members. Educates employees about new programs, changes to programs and regulation updates. Prepare accurate, timely reports to direct supervisor. Proactively maintains the monitoring of all debit card activity as well as identifies unusual activity, potential fraud and takes appropriate/timely action Completes assigned duties and goals within specified time frames Job Posted by ApplicantPro
