CEC Motor and Utility Services has an immediate full-time opportunity for an experienced Manual Machinist at our Service Center in Palmetto, FL. Hours • Monday - Friday (7 am - 3:30 pm) Pay Frequency • Weekly FLSA Status : • Non-Exempt Work Environment: • Work is primarily performed indoors in a climate-controlled shop. Physical Demands: • Must be able to regularly move items weighing up to 50 pounds, Reporting Relationships : • The Manual Machinist reports to the Motor Shop Manager. Note: This position requires drug and background screening. Responsibilities:• Machine parts as required to the exact specifications• Perform milling operations such as drilling, tapping, and boring• Perform various metalizing techniques as needed• Fabricate and manufacture various parts• Follows all electrical safety rules• Keeps facility clean and orderly• May be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting• Performs duties in a professional manner and works well with others or in a team setting• Regular attendance and adherence to prescribed work schedule to conduct job responsibilities• Observes safe work practices and safety methods; performs other duties as assigned Qualifications:• High school graduate or equivalent• Must be able to operate various manual lathes• Experience required, preferably 3-5 years• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and able to stand/walk for extended periods Compensation: $25 - $35 hourly About Company: CEC Motor & Utility Services is a privately held Motor and Pump repair shop founded in 2011.
