Summary Preschool of the Arts is seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as an Assistant Teacher. We are looking for someone willing to work in both our toddler and preschool classrooms. Our part time afternoon teachers must be able to work 3-5 days a week 2:30-5:45 at a minimum, but more hours are available upon request. Duties Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities Provide support in diapering and/or potty training Foster a positive and engaging learning environment for toddlers Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to ensure the well-being and development of each child Maintain professionalism while interacting with children, parents, and colleagues Communicate professionally with parents Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met Maintain personal professional development plan Clean and sanitize classroom as needed Requirements Genuine love for children and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom setting A strong understanding of child development Must clear full background check and must pass health screening Nice To Haves Prior childcare experienceCT ELDS familiarity Benefits 401K if over 19 years old.PTO for BirthdayFlexible Scheduling
