The role involves advising healthcare clients on a variety of strategic transactions and corporate matters, requiring strong regulatory knowledge and exceptional legal skills. Duties:Advise healthcare clients on strategic transactions including mergers and acquisitions, asset and equity acquisitions, venture capital and private equity investments, and joint ventures.Assist clients with corporate and organizational workflows such as formations, capital raises, operational strategy, and contract negotiations.Provide legal counsel on day-to-day corporate matters and regulatory compliance issues.Conduct legal research, analysis, and draft legal documents and memoranda as necessary.Collaborate effectively with internal teams and communicate directly with clients on legal strategies and issues. Requirements:4-6 years of experience in health plan operations, regulation, managed care, and state and federal laws relating to health plans.Strong understanding of provider contracting, Medicare risk adjustment, STARS ratings, Medicaid matters, and behavioral health parity.Admission to the State Bar (Washington, DC preferred).Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the State Bar (Washington, DC preferred). Skills:Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficiency in legal research and analysis.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
