*Position Summary The main focus of this position will be the maintenance, landscape and janitorial of the common areas at our beautiful 265-space manufactured home community in Torrance, CA. Duties will be assigned under the direct supervision of the Community Manager. *Company Overview Founded in 1958, the Star Companies is a family-owned and operated firm specializing in the manufactured housing industry. Star's Mission Statement is: We provide superior service to manufactured home communities, maximizing value of the properties that we are entrusted to serve. *Company Core Values Transparent Accountable Integrity Teamwork Excellence *Position Performance Objectives Common area maintenance Common area janitorial (clubhouse, bathrooms, etc.) Gardening and landscaping work Irrigation repairs Work with electric and gas meter shutoffs, as needed Maintain accurate records of work performed *Key Competencies Be customer-service oriented Possess a good work ethic and uphold the company values Be able to work with minimal supervision Be able to resolve challenges logically and know when to refer more complex issues to a higher level since duties and tasks are frequently non-routine Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, integrity, and exercise confidentiality in all areas of performance Be punctual, neat and efficient Read, write speak English fluently *Physical Requirements Has the ability to bend, stoop, walk, climb ladders for 90% of a typical working day Has the ability to bend, lift and reach boxes and maintenance supplies of 30 pounds or more Has the ability to safely use tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, drills, and saws Has the ability to log maintenance records in a computer or app *Experience Requirements Has two years minimum of recent experience in property management, apartment/residential maintenance - Mobile Home Park experience is a plus High school diploma or GED equivalent - required Has basic use skills of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Has a valid California Driver's License, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance - required *Compensation/Position Details Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. 7 am to 4 pm, 1 hour for lunch $18-$21 per hour *What we offer Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance 401(k) plan with company match 5 vacation days first year, accrual starts immediately 10 paid holidays Location: Torrance, 90505 If this position caught your eye, apply online now.
