Maintenance Assistant - Menasha, WI Chileda's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with cognitive and behavior challenges. Chileda's goal is to help students increase their appropriate social behaviors and develop independent living skills, through an enriched learning environment and individualized behavior programming. We are now accepting applications for a Maintenance Assistant. **Anticipated Start Date: July 2024** Summary: The Maintenance Assistant performs general maintenance and janitorial duties including interior and exterior building repair and cleaning, minor carpentry, plumbing and electrical. Maintain grounds upkeep to help provide a clean and safe environment for students and staff. Status Info: The Maintenance Assistant is a full-time position, 6:30 AM - 3 PM, Monday through Friday. Hours may be altered during special needs project or during inclement weather. Education Requirements: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years old. Skills: Previous maintenance experience is preferred. Must have working knowledge of different hand and power tools. Valid drivers license with a clean driving record is required. The Maintenance Assistant is a physically active, fast paced position, requiring the ability to manage several tasks and complete projects timely. Requires lifting and transferring objects over 50 pounds. Job Duties Include: Utilize good judgment in determining the maintenance needs of campus and communicating needs to supervisor. Identify and communicate any safety concerns to supervisor in a timely manner. Identifying and repairing any damage to walls, including painting as needed. Perform minor carpentry, electrical, and plumbing maintenance as requested by supervisor. Maintain clean windows throughout campus Maintain stock of all supplies required by maintenance department.
