Company Summary Mutual of Omaha Mortgage continues to expand and is seeking a mid to high-level Database Developer. The Database Developer role will be responsible for developing ETL pipelines, updating data architecture, and preparation/delivery of database objects for use by the business. The main objective of this role is to support the business in use of the existing architecture and contribute to our migration to our next-generation data warehouse (Microsoft Fabric). We are seeking a person that thrives in a fast-paced environment and is technically talented to provide support for our internal teams. Responsibilities and Duties Interfacing with internal / external business SMEs to create and maintain data objects within SQL Server Collaborating with team on implementation / maintenance of data architecture Monitoring server performance and implementing optimizations to ensure availability Creating and maintaining performant queries, views, and stored procedures Collecting and manipulating data as required for ad-hoc analysis Isolating and resolving data source issues with limited supervision and oversight Other tasks as assigned Required Qualifications and Skills 4+ years of experience with T-SQL (window functions, CTEs, views / stored procedures, performance tuning) 3+ years of loading, importing, and exporting data into and from databases 3+ years of experience with Python / PySpark / Databricks / Snowflake 2+ years of experience with Git / Azure DevOps Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric (certification desired) Excellent communication skills and the ability to create technical documentation Reliable, self-motivated, and exhibits ownership for assigned work Self-directed learner with the ability to research and implement novel approaches to business directives Excellent organization, prioritization, and deadline focus Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Desired Qualifications and Skills Azure (Data Factory / Monitor) Mortgage industry experience Compensation range $90-110K Powered by JazzHR
