SUMMARY :Safely loads and unloads windows and doors needed for the delivery both at warehouse and customer jobsites, including moving material on/off racking. Employee will be required to handle freight, check shipping papers to determine the contents of load and the load destinations, record receipts & enter into computer system. Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging and material content. If unable to answer specific questions, direct customer to appropriate contact at APBS. Employee is also required to maintain warehouse finished goods and consumable goods inventory using computer-based inventory tracking tool PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES : Provide maintenance/safety checks on vehicles, maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver logs, possible fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight of varying weights and stage materials for pick-up and transportation Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a motor vehicle including securing all product ready for shipment by tying down or bracing cargo within the trailer, as required, and drive vehicles with trailer through residential areas leveraging strong navigation, parking, and backing-up skills Accepts adjustable works schedules and perform variable work duties such as but not limited to keeping work area clean/safe, additional warehouse shipping/receiving responsibilities, and assistance to service and install team in the field lifting, moving, and positioning material and performing light service work at the direction of others Other duties as assigned by supervisor QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Acceptable accident and moving violation Motor Vehicle Record. At least 2 years previous delivery driving experience with a truck-trailer or straight truck, depending on equipment, including winter driving experience. Ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations with general mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, read road signs, maintain logs, etc. Basic computer skills including email and accurate data entry. Ability to sit and remain alert while driving for extended periods of time. Ability to perform frequent pulling of freight weighing up to 200 pounds on a dolly or cart. Ability to frequently perform carrying freight weighing up to 80 pounds of varying size and shape. Have knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspection and maintenance. As the driver of a vehicle/trailer weighing over, or rated to carry more than 10,000 lbs. (total weight), must be able to take and pass the biennial commercial motor vehicle (CMV) medical exam that meets all DOT requirements High school diploma or equivalent CULTURE AND BENEFITS :"Be Orange.
