Job Description: The Packaging Designer will work under the direction of the design lab manager and operations manager for general direction. Packaging Designers must plan, direct, coordinate and control manufacturing activities in their assigned work area to achieve established management goals. Designers should be skilled in good time management and work well alone or in a group. General Requirements: 1 Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArtiosCAD, or similar 2D & 3D CAD platforms. 2 Minimum 2 years of experience in foam packaging design or packaging related field. 3 Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes. 4 Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients. 5 Ability to interpret client needs and translate them into effective packaging solutions. 6 Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality in design work. 7 Demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 8 Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to packaging design. 9 Willingness to adapt and learn new software or techniques as needed.Key Responsibilities: 1 Design custom foam packaging solutions tailored to client specifications, considering factors such as product dimensions, fragility, and shipping requirements. 2 Provide 3 Create detailed 2D and 3D renderings of packaging designs using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and feasibility for manufacturing. 4 Prepares Computer Numeric Control (CNC) programs using Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) equipment and cad software packages. 5 Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, production, and quality, to refine designs and address any technical challenges. 6 Conduct thorough evaluation of prototypes to ensure packaging meets performance standards. 7 Continuously assess and improve packaging designs to optimize for cost, efficiency, and sustainability. 8 Provide guidance and support to production teams during manufacturing, addressing any design-related issues that arise. 9 Maintain accurate documentation of design iterations, specifications, and testing results. 10 Collaborate with marketing teams to create visual assets showcasing packaging designs for promotional materials or presentations.
