Job Objective: Provides fine breakfast service for guest of LAuberge Carmel each morning. Supervise and train the Breakfast Service team to meet our high standards. Is familiar with and complies with the LAuberge Carmel and Mirabel Hotel and Restaurant Groups Mission and Service Standards as well as Relais & Chateauxs 5 Cs and philosophy in performing all key areas of accountability and other essential duties and responsibilities. Key Areas of Accountability: Supervise all activities of wait staff and delegate responsibilitiesWelcome guests and direct them to tablesEnsures guest satisfaction in Restaurant Service OperationsAdheres to department & Relais and Chateaux standards.Ensures complete knowledge of food served each morning.Services courtyard or room service breakfast or bar menu as neededEnsure all wait staff are attentive & courteous to guests, present menus, suggest additional items and provide excellent service at all timesFollow the cleaning schedule and delegate tasks to uphold immaculate standards of cleanlinessObserve, anticipate and accommodate all guests needs and requestsAdvise and provide guidance to wait staff on appropriate behaviors & conductSupervise the proper handling of equipmentEnsure that staff set up & maintain service stations correctlyResponsible for setting up the restaurant in accordance with breakfast standardsEnsure that the restaurant is ready for service & opens punctuallyAssist and participate in trainingMaintains excellent standards of Health and Safety in line with hotel policy and CAL/OSHA requirementsCoordinates and communicates with kitchen staff effectivelyAssists with coffee and water inventory as neededPicks up breakfast and kitchen supplies as directed/ neededAble to utilize the Point of Sales system effectively and accuratelyHandles all aspects of food service including : Runs food, sets silverware, clears plates, resets tables, offers beverage or coffee service.Responsible for back station cleanlinessAny other duties or work outside the normal daily/weekly routine, but within the overall scope of the position
