The Plant Maintenance Manager is accountable for leading and managing the departments personnel on all shifts across the plant. Responsible for leading a safety-driven culture. Responsible for leading and managing the plants Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) program. Responsible for improving asset utilization, uptime and implementing proven maintenance and reliability improvements. Collaborates closely with operations team and Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to provide solutions that meet business objectives. Duties & Responsibilities: Promote safety as the most important value in all maintenance activities.Direct work assignments and set priorities for a 24x7 production operations.Ensure effective and proactive communication of maintenance activities including:Preventative Maintenance completion rateWork order closeout rateDowntime root causes and suggested improvementsContinuous improvement of Preventative Maintenance planIdentified machine or procedural issuesMaintenance team cross training matrixManage implementation of preventative maintenance ensuring work is completed promptly, safely, correctly.Implement 6S culture in maintenance and support areas.Ensure that all required recordkeeping is completed timely and accurately.Manages and develops maintenance supervisors and maintenance technicians; motivates, coaches, and develops a diverse, high performing and engaged team to meet established goals and build organizational capability.Provide direct hands on assistance to employees as needed.Contribute as member of the plant leadership team to drive the plant forward in areas of safety, quality, and productivity improvements.Develop maintenance team, identify areas to improve in team members, schedule training and classes to improve weaknesses, maintain team cross training matrix, utilize matrix to have proper support on all shifts.Establish individual performance expectations, conduct regular employee performance reviews, and effectively coach and provide feedback to employees.Conduct/schedule training for maintenance staff and operators on equipment as necessary.Relates externally with contractors, vendors and government inspectors, suppliers of goods and services. Health, Safety & Environmental: Lead safety and security for an injury free work environmentProvide a safe and secure work environment for all employees, contractors and visitorsAllocates resource requirements and investments required to achieve zero injuries, including systems, focused programs and leadershipEnsures a clear and effective measurement system is followed and used to drive results; rewards and celebrates safe behavior and achievements; ensures accountability Sanitation/Food Safety: Ensure the facility maintains world-class sanitation standards.Continually improve and communicate food safety/sanitation/quality programs to plant supervisors and hourly employees.Prepare the facility for, and participate in, regulatory/third party/customer/company audits.
