The role involves handling a diverse caseload encompassing business disputes, employment litigation, contract actions, unfair competition, real estate, probate/trust, and domestic matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in all stages of trial preparation and litigation and demonstrate strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.Job Duties:Prepare cases for trial by conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.Manage a caseload from inception through trial and post-trial motions.Advise clients on legal strategy, potential outcomes, and settlement options.Conduct depositions and examine witnesses during trials.Maintain accurate case records and document all case-related activities.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.Experience practicing law, with significant trial experience preferred.Proven track record of successfully litigating cases across various practice areas.Strong understanding of civil procedure, evidence, and trial advocacy.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.Certifications:Certification or specialization in trial advocacy or related field (preferred).Skills:Exceptional research and writing abilities.Proficiency in legal research tools and software.Effective oral communication and courtroom presentation skills.Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Detail-oriented and organized approach to case management.
