Title: Employee Engagement and Benefits Manager Supervisor: VP of Human Resources and Risk Management Salary: $58,500 – $61,000 annually Status: Exempt, 40 hours per week Location: 29 North Hamilton St Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 Function: This position reports directly to the Vice President for HR, Risk Management, and Organizational Development. The Employee Engagement and Benefits Manager is responsible for administering employee benefits in all agency operations. This position provides exceptional guidance and assistance to all employees on various employee benefit plans. Additionally, the Employee Engagement and Benefits Manager will develop strategies to improve engagement, and manage programs designed to enhance FSI’s culture as well as promote longevity and engagement among team members, including but not limited to the areas of, recruitment, onboarding, retention, recognition, learning and development, diversity, wellness, and other activities aimed at creating a positive workplace environment. Position Responsibilities: Administer and Audit various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 403(b), and wellness benefits. Conduct benefits orientations and explain INavigator system. Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction. Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims. Assist VP of HR in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the company. Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required employee notices. Assist VP of HR and ADs in HR in completing benefits reporting requirements. Work with Marketing and the Talent Acquisition Manager to develop and manage social media sites to help boost recruitment, highlight events and bolster agency branding. Co-Chair the Wellness and Morale agency subcommittee whose mission is to help improve overall employee wellbeing. Order and distribute FSI promotional items managing a monthly budget. Coordinate employee incentives such as lunches, contests and special events. Boost employee morale by listening to the needs and concerns of staff with an eye for creativity and motivation. Work to foster an environment conducive to employee satisfaction. Assist with efficient day-to-day operations of the HR office. Travel to all FSI sites as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of: Diversity, equity and inclusion principles and strategies Human Resources principles and practices Advanced concepts, policies, and practices related to organizational and employee development Utilize administration principles and practices to promote program development Educational, cultural, political, governmental and employee relations issues Applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and/or statutes Skill in: Engaging employees of varying backgrounds and levels with an equity lens Preparing and/or reviewing reports Analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of proposed actions, and making recommendations in support of goals Mediating conflict Maintaining confidentiality Designing and developing program plans Establishing collaborative working relationships Developing partnerships across the organization Leading work groups Researching, analyzing, and applying relevant information to the development of Human Resources processes Coordinating activities with other internal departments and external agencies Preparing a variety of reports related to operational activities, including statistical analysis Developing, recommending, implementing, and monitoring policies, procedures, and workflow Ability to: Conduct long range planning Work effectively with diverse academic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds Use computer technology for communication, data gathering and reporting Communicate effectively through oral and written media #INDAD Work Environment – Office work setting, quiet but busy environment, works with a highly communicative HR team. Will work closely with all departments, leadership, and employees in the agency. Hybrid schedule available.
