Child and Family Therapist Seeking a dynamic licensed therapist who has experience with trauma-informed, evidence-based treatments. Hope For Youth is searching for a full-time therapist to work within a developing program for children and families with diverse backgrounds. You will be fully trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and the Strengthening Families Program (SFP) both approved by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as evidence-based treatment and skills services for children and families. Responsibilities Function within the policies and procedures as outlined in program practice guide and employee manual. Adhere to state regulations and applicable code of conduct. Work within an interdisciplinary team to assist client in their overall functioning and achieve desired outcomes. Apply agency-identified Evidence Based Interventions best suited to meet the client's needs. Conduct Family and Individual therapy in agency office space or, in their home as needed, to best meet client's needs. Support the child/family by providing them with the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to achieve optimal family functioning. Complete documentation and related paperwork in a timely manner Offer flexibility within schedule to accommodate program needs Attend trainings and professional development as assigned and as per interest. Attend meetings and provide reports for meetings as assigned. Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to diagnose and/or determine medical necessity. Ensure that service delivery is in a trauma informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner. Develop a treatment plan with the child/family to restore functioning and/or ameliorate behavioral health symptoms. Participate in treatment team, case review and other meetings. Work collaboratively with referral resources and any other agency working with the family and the court. Conduct developmental assessments when necessary and provide follow-up assessments as needed. Provide support for other projects and locations; travel as needed. Minimum job requirements to have and maintain: LMSW/LCSW/LMHC/LMFT, limited permits, Psy.D. 1- year of experience working with children/adolescents and families preferred Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, and experience working with EHRs. Valid NYS driver's license in good standing, access on working days to own reliable vehicle Physical Requirements: read/write reports and log entries, walking/standing/sitting for prolonged periods, bending/stooping, kneeling/squatting, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, repetitive wrist/finger movements, driving own vehicle. This opportunity is being offered at a pay range of $32.00 - $35.75/hour, based on a 35 hours per week Please include resume, cover letter and salary requirements.
