This role will involve advising operations, reviewing technical approaches, supporting business development, and developing growth strategies for cybersecurity services delivered to government clients. The EVP will collaborate closely with the CTO, CGO, and EVP for Operations, and EVP for Human Capital, engage program directors and project managers to ensure high-quality deliverables, and mentor cybersecurity professionals within the firm.Professional Level Information:The Executive Vice President of Cybersecurity is a senior executive role. This position requires strategic leadership, advanced technical expertise, and a strong background in managing complex cybersecurity operations. The EVP of Cybersecurity will oversee the design, development, implementation, and analysis of cybersecurity strategies and solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and federal contracting requirements.Functional Job (LCAT) Information:An Executive Vice President of Cybersecurity has extensive experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on emerging cybersecurity technologies and methodologies, federal regulations, and compliance standards. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP), threat management, incident response, and vulnerability assessment. The EVP will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, advising on technical solutions, supporting business development, and leading a high-performing cybersecurity team.Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and federal contracting objectives. Stay informed about and advise on the day-to-day operations of the cybersecurity team, including threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance with federal standards. Advise on technical approaches to cybersecurity within federal contracts, ensuring they meet government standards and best practices. Collaborate with the business development team to support the acquisition of new federal contracts and present cybersecurity capabilities to potential clients. Develop and implement growth strategies to enhance the organization's cybersecurity offerings to government clients. Collaborate routinely with the CTO, CGO, and EVP for Operations to ensure cohesive and strategic alignment across the organization. Engage program directors and project managers to ensure high-quality deliverables to customers. Mentor cybersecurity professionals within the firm, providing guidance and support for their professional development. Identify, assess, and prioritize cybersecurity risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP). Assist in the development of cyber security certification standards, firm wide. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered. Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the federal contracting space. Extensive experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies and programs for government clients. Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices applicable to federal contracts. Proven ability to lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical stakeholders and government clients. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Preferred/Desired: GIAC Security Essentials Certification Familiarity with federal cybersecurity regulations and standards (e.g., RMF, CSF, FISMA, FedRAMP) Experience with advanced cybersecurity frameworks and tools (e.g., ZTNA, SASE Framework, ICAM, CWPP, SOC Operations, Vulnerability Threat Management, and Compliance) Location:This position is remote.Salary Range:The salary range for this position is $161,595.00 - $250,000.00*9th Way Insignia's range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
