Are you an experienced technician looking for a fresh challenge? Our Garage Door Technician position might be perfect for you! You will be in charge of installing garage doors in homes and commercial buildings, in addition to servicing motors and garage doors. Our technicians work on renovations, new installations, and repairs, so every day is a little bit different. You will interact with customers and represent our company every day in all of our service areas, so you need to be able to deliver excellent service. You must be proficient with power tools and have a fundamental knowledge of how electrical systems operate in order to perform this job. Apply right away if this sounds like a great opportunity. Responsibilities: --- Attend appointments within the window that has been given to the client --- Present options to the customer after inspecting and accurately diagnosing any problems with the current system --- Use software to take notes, create quotes, and send invoices --- Attend meetings, follow all company policies, and participate in decision-making --- Calculate installation openings and perform site inspections for larger jobs Qualifications: --- Good understanding with the wiring and connections used in electrical systems --- For this role, you need to have outstanding skills in providing service to customers --- Ability to use a measuring tape, as well as proficiency in math and problem-solving, are essential --- Skills in communication, listening, and working well with others are a must --- Competent in the use of both power tools and hand tools --- Minimum of 2-years in the garage door industry required for position About Company: DC Garage Door and Services Inc. is a small family business located in Lombard, IL.
