Job Summary: The Painter works with a variety of interior and exterior surfaces, making appropriate repairs or preparations as necessary, and repairs/replaces all glass and glazing for windows and doors. Responsibilities: Orders paint and related supplies needed for painting throughout the nursing home. Paint new construction or renovations projects and repaint existing surfaces as needed. Mixes paint to match existing surfaces for repainting when necessary. Cleans and maintains painting equipment. Maintain records of existing painted surface colors. Patch holes and apply drywall compound sand and prepare for painting on newly constructed or repaired walls. Some maintenance work as needed. Job Qualifications: High School Graduate/GED required. Must be able to read, write and speak effectively. Minimum of 2 years previous experience in doing painting work and general maintenance mechanic work(Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry and Electrical, Painting) Physical Demand: Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs. Good manual dexterity, walking and bending. Ability to kneel, crouch and crawl.
