Position Overview: As a member of the student recruitment team, the Early Childhood Recruitment & Cultivation Manager is responsible for finding, cultivating, and gathering applications from new families into our six early childhood schools across the District of Columbia. This role focuses on building external relationships and partnerships to create a pipeline of new applications into all six schools including managing relationships with families from initial outreach through the completion of the application process. The primary objective is to increase applications and enrollment for nearly 1,000 open seats in PreK3, PreK4, and kindergarten annually. This individual will collaborate closely with early childhood principals and teams, as well as the school support & service team, to conduct strategic outreach through partners and engagement opportunities. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to driving enrollment growth in our early childhood programs. This role is exempt and reports to the Director of Student Recruitment. Key Responsibilities: Early Childhood Recruitment & Outreach (60%) Conduct strategic outreach to attract new families to KIPP DC’s early childhood schools. Develop and implement recruitment strategies to increase applications and enrollment in PreK3, PreK4, and kindergarten. Cultivate relationships with community partners and stakeholders to expand the reach of recruitment efforts. Plan and execute events and initiatives to showcase the benefits of KIPP DC’s early childhood programs. Collaborate with early childhood principals and teams to identify target recruitment areas and populations. Marketing & Communications (20%) Develop marketing materials and campaigns to promote KIPP DC’s early childhood programs. Utilize various communication channels, including social media and newsletters, to reach prospective families. Train and support staff in effectively communicating the value proposition of KIPP DC’s early childhood schools. Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding. Enrollment Support & New Family Engagement (10%) Guide families through the enrollment process, providing support and assistance as needed. Project manager of enrollment events and activities including the design and coordination to welcome new families and create a sense of community. Partner with compliance team to ensure accurate and timely enrollment data. Team Collaboration & Reporting (10%) Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and enrollment data. Collaborate with the student recruitment team to share best practices and strategies. Participate in KIPP DC headquarters activities and contribute to organizational goals. Skills & Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree required 3-5 years of experience in teaching, student advising, education leadership, or student recruitment required Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders. Commitment to advancing KIPP DC’s anti-racist ambition through their work with staff, students, alumni, and families Passion for education reform and commitment to KIPP DC’s mission. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Willingness to travel between campuses and attend evening and weekend events. Preferred: Experience supporting student recruitment through targeted outreach and engagement. Experience providing support and guidance to preschool families. Experience in a customer service-oriented role Ability to collaborate effectively and drive change in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with My School DC Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; experience with applicant tracking databases or student information systems. Compensation and Benefits KIPP DC offers an extremely competitive compensation and benefits package: The anticipated starting salary for this position is $78,777-$93,782. At KIPP DC we strive for clarity, equity, and to be highly competitive. When determining salaries we look at benchmarks in the education and non-profit sector. KIPP DC offers a robust benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurances; various voluntary benefits; and employer paid benefits such as short term disability, long term disability, life insurance, and a membership to One Medical. KIPP DC also offers a 403(b) retirement account with a 3% employer contribution and a 3% match with vesting after three years. Currently, individuals in this role have up to 15 paid time off days, up to 10 paid sick days, and 12 paid holidays. This is subject to change and your exact schedule will be shared in your offer letter. As a headquarters team that is focused on being responsive to our schools and meeting the needs of our students and families, we approach our work in a way that reflects these priorities. Schools operate in person and our students and families rely on us for in-person support, and this position will regularly provide on-site support to school teams, frequently partner with other headquarters teams, or regularly work in multiple locations. Because of the nature of the work, this role allows for occasional flexibility. This role will primarily be on-site at schools and HDQ.
