Sales & Use Tax Supervisor *Required to be in Marlborough, MA office every Tuesday & Wednesday The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career. The Sales and Use Tax Supervisor oversees and reviews the Sales and Use Tax returns for state and local jurisdictions and ensures timely and accurate filing. This role also provides training and guidance to accountants on new procedures, audits, and systems. Supervises and reviews state and local Sales and Use Tax returns in accordance with government tax laws for all TJX domestic divisions/eCommerce using Vertex Indirect Tax Return Software and ensures all returns are completed and filed timely and accurately. Supervises and reviews account reconciliations, use tax review, resale certificates, and journal entry postings for year-end close. Oversees and completes business and food licensing for new stores and manage the renewal process for business license renewals. Drives state and local sales and use tax audits and business license audits including generating reports, detail reviewing schedules, negotiating, and working with state and local tax auditors. Assists in various specific tax projects as assigned which may involve research and compliance in sales tax, business licenses and general ledger accounting, etc. Participates in systems projects including Ecommerce, New POS, Vertex, and in-house projects. Works closely across multiple departments on various system projects and tax issues. Special projects as assigned. Who We Are Looking For: You. 5+ years in Tax Accounting or Finance environment 2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience Intermediate Accounting knowledge such as journal entries and general ledger liability account reconciliations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong prioritization and time management skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills We care about our culture, but we also prioritize your needs! This position has a starting salary range of $72,100 to $91,800 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
