Subspecialty: Comprehensive / Medical Retina Practice Location: Staten Island, NY Population: 476,000 Physician/ Population Ratio: ~40K / Ophthalmologists (~2x US) MD Or Corporate Owned: privately owned Reason for Job Opening: doctor retiring (scheduled for 5/31/2024) If Physician is retiring, how much longer will Physician Work: 8 months Experience Requirement: 5 plus years Target Compensation: $300-$350K base; all in expected ~$700-800K; targeting someone who wants to earn ~$1MM (please see below) Bonus Opportunity: year 1 should earn $350K in bonus if production driven; should target $1mm all-in comp Retirement Program: profit sharing retirement plan Other Benefits: employer healthcare contribution = ~$10K / year. CME allowance, malpractice insurance, pay for hospital privileges, and state and federal licenses. Relocation: open to provide if needed Vacation/PTO: 3 weeks of vacation + 1 week of PTO Target Start Date: ASAP Practice Management: EyeMD Current patient volume: looking for someone who will see 200 patients / week Estimated Surg Volume for this role: 200 - 300 cats / year / MD (heavy focus on FEMTO & Premium IOL) Support Staff: total staff of 18 (incl. 6 techs) Hospital Call: None MDs on Staff: 1 (3 additional specialists currently focus on surgical retina & cataracts; they will have a more limited role once 2 new MDs onboarded) ODs on Staff: 0 (plan to hire one in 2024) OD Network: not a heavy driver of referrals; more reliant on primary care Refractive Surgery - Lasik: not a heavy LASIK practice Hospital Affiliation: N/A ASC: All City (Brooklyn); Campus Eye (NJ)
